The standard defines the requirements to the quality management system for the companies:
- That need to prove their ability to continuously supply the products satisfying the customer requirements and the legislative and regulatory requirements applied to the company;
- The activities of which deal with improving the customer satisfaction, including the procedures of continuous updating of the system and securing compliance with the customer requirements and the legislative and regulatory requirements applied to the company.
All of the ISO 9001 requirements are universal and intended for use by all the companies regardless of their type, size or products. The standard is meant for certification of the quality management systems of the companies by the independent competent and authorized national and international bodies.
